I AM a teacher. I teach children. I teach beyond standards. I eat lunch with my students. I play kickball. I spend every hour I can working to benefit them. I put them first. I go to baseball games. I watch cheers and dances. I respect them, they respect me. I understand.

I have spent a lot of itme thinking of who I wanted to be. Not specifically a teacher, but what kind of teacher. I do not want to be that dull, dry teacher. I do not want to be the strict teacher. I do not want to be the dreaded teacher. I do not want to be "the cool teacher" who is easy. I have found that being consistent and firm AND having great relationships allows me to be everything I want to be. I am the so called "cool teacher", yet my students work harder than than they expect (and enjoy it). What kind of teacher do you want to be? Who are YOU?
